Verve Coffee Roasters

Verve Coffee has been both a client and an employer, and one of the most formative places in my career. It’s where I found my footing as a designer and began weaving illustration into my design practice.

As Head of Creative, I developed countless graphics and helped guide the brand into a fresh direction—introducing a more vibrant color palette, refined typography, and a simplified logo system. My team and I built a thriving merchandise program and worked with outside consultants to plan for Verve’s expansion.

In 2018, I returned to design a full line of apparel, continuing my long-standing creative relationship with the brand.

These included everything from stickers to brew guides. These items were included in the cafes and coffee that was shipped to customers. We found that these little extras brought customers a little extra joy in their experience of the brand.

Apparel made up a large part of our sales and went on to be a major income stream for the brand as well as something that solidified them as a lifestyle brand. (see below)
